Well now you can as this week we will be taking you through the history of animation, its principles and techniques then some hands on animation fun! Use your character from previous weeks and create your very own animated Digital Superstar story.
Brands & Logos
This week we will be learning about logos and branding and how they help someone or something memorable to a consumer (that’s you!). We are forever surrounded by logos from different companies and products that people are trying to sell their product to us. Today we are going to talk about some of the most memorable logos and brands in history and create our own Digital Superstar’s logo.
Be a Social Media Butterfly
This week we will be learning how the internet has helped people to be more sociable than ever before. Websites such as Facebook, Bebo, MySpace, YouTube and Flickr have allowed people to connect, chat, share ideas, showcase work and make friends with people from all around the world.
About the Workshops
mydigitalsuperstarMy Digital Superstar is a BBC Learning project run by a team of 6 new media designers and 1 researcher. In the summer term 2010, we plan to spend one session per week working with a local community group from key stage 3 to share our digital know how!
Over the course of 7 weekly workshops each student will invent an avatar to represent themselves within a digital world. These characters will drive discussion, ideas and learning about how the internet can open up a world of possibility, all taught within a safe, supervised environment.
